On January 12, 2022, a part of the Suriname Natural Stone team went to Coronie (the district in Suriname with the smallest population) to donate goods to an institute for and elderly and children called Huize Lunor.
As the economic situation in Suriname hit hard, all social institutes felt extra pressure coming along with the recession of the covid-19 pandemic. As these social institutes fulfil a crucial role in our communities, Suriname Natural Stone feels responsible for helping these institutes to take care of our elderly and younger ones in need.
Tons of provisions where donated such as rice, water, cooking supplies, and other essential goods. These were received with great thanks by the workers at the Lunor institute. We feel the social responsibility to help these social institutes that are serving young and elderly people in Coronie and other parts of Suriname, as our economy and country was partially built by these hardworking older ones, who are now in need of our help.
